Playa de Rondiles

Time again for some shopping so that was included in the trip from Cangas de Onis.
The next planned activity is the Senda del Oso, but the weather is not looking good for a couple of days so we decided to stick to the coast where it is a bit warmer.
Playa de Rondiles aire is just mixed parking with an area just for campers, no facilities but is right next to an excellent beach where we walked and watched the  surfers.
The following day the weather was starting to get worse and we needed to empty toilets and tanks and get more water on board as it is shower night. So we headed to Gijon to an aire with facilities.

Combarro

We drove to the aire near Combarro, for an urgent stop at the service point for water etc. Parked up and walked to Combarro an old fishing village with a number of horreos, food storage buildings on stilts lining the shore. The village itself is well worth a visit, steep narrow streets built on and into the rocks.

Stretton Fox

Handy pub stopover just off the M6 / M56. Some nice real ales at the bar and a rustic atmosphere.  Very busy for a Wednesday night. Food looks good, but we have already eaten, maybe next time. Good night sleep with the soothing drone of the motorway traffic in the distance.
